NOTD - Spring/Summer Nails , Orange with White Blossoms

Come summer my best buddies are orange tang, orange ice candies and bright white/ orange clothes and accessories. Spring has got us some beautiful blossoms in the air. So why not combine the two for a lovely nail art representing the spirit of the season.

NOTD! Animal Print Nailart

I always thought that an animal print nailart and rose nailart were next to impossible for me. But the only thing I had to do is look and observe the design very very carefully. I not only understood how its made but I happened to try it on my nails too. 

This happens most of the times to us in our lives. The problem is our lack of patience and short attention span. Na..... na.... this is not a philosophy class. Its just a thought.

NOTD! Chaotic nails with Maybelline Color Show

I call them chaotic nails. Why? Coz I tried doing something and ended up with this chaotic look thing. 

I started with dotting my nails in flowers with a dotting tool in black color. But I donno what happened and the flowers no longer looked anything like their name. So I started dotting more for the polka dots look. I donno what happened again and I the dots started joining. Now they looked messy. So I used a red one to bring in a pop of color. And this is how it ended. Not bad I must say. My very own modern art :)

Here comes the Spring!! Finally the cold and bone chilling seasons goes away and there is some warmth and coziness. The birds chirp and flowers bloom. Keep away all your woolens and bring in all the cotton and muslin. Keep the grey and brown in the attic, welcome the yellows and oranges **Conditions apply

Hahaha... We residents of Mumbai live in 3 different weathers, hot, hotter and hottest. Well with a little exception of a couple of months like December and January. But it doenst stop us form enjoying the seasons.

Review OPI German-icure Nail Lacquer , NOTD

Colors trend as per age. From baby pinks as kids, to bright neons as teens, or reds for bridals and mauve/purple/maroons for 30+.

Oh....Oh.... Have I touched a sensitive topic? 

Well lets look at it like this. With age comes maturity and confidence. The confidence to carry a dark and intense color will come only with age. At the same time the teeny popper colors don't gel well with the grey hair. 

Well let me confess, I have found a new love for these dark color all of a sudden and I cant think of any thing else but me hitting the decade 3 of my life. All these year I had tagged these color "aunty colors" or "mummy colors". While my mom rocked them , inspite of my best efforts to sport them well I would hate them. 

With all these decade change drama I was on a look out for the true ox-blood red nail paint. And my hunt began. OPI then launched the German collection and my friend suggested this gorgeous OPI German-icure Nail Lacquer. You have to see it to believe how mind blowing this color is. Its is dark , really dark red , almost maroon but with light it reflects streaks of vibrant almost electric red.

Review Bourjois Paris Easy Nail Art Kit, NOTD

I had been on a hunt for these silver or golden striping tape for ages now.  Every time I saw people doing magical nail art with these I envied them. 

One fine day while randomly window shopping at Westside I came across this kit from Bourjois. The SA tried hard to sell the stickers to me but I was sold to the  silver striping tape. Even before I checked the price I knew I am buying it. To add to the adrenal rush going through me the SA proclaims this was the last piece on the rack. Nothing could stop me now. I headed straight to the billing counter.
