It is yet another time of the month when a bunch of beauty
enthusiasts go from anxious, curious, to glad or sad. Yes it’s the time we all get
our Vellvette Bag. This time it was the anniversary bag. All anticipated that
it’s going to be a special one.
Last few months I was little skeptical about getting a
Vellvette Box coz I felt I didn't use 70% of the things I get in it. But I couldn't resist the surprise element that comes along with every Vellvette Box.
I did wait for some of the fellow bloggers write about what they got and this
edition looked very promising.
Firstly, here is what I got:
- Vellvette Pouch – Red with White Polka dots in satin.
- Beauty UK – Eyeshadow Palette – Soho – Full Size - INR 513/-
- Lord and Berry Ultimate Gloss – Pink Flower – Full Size – INR 890/-
- The Nature’s Co – Lavender Body Lotion- Sample
- Vellvette – Compact Brush – Full Size – INR 300
What are my thoughts on these goodies? Let’s go one at a
time.
The satin pouch in red with white polka dots is damn cute. I
love the soft satin texture and adorable color combo. It’s an apt size pouch to
carry around your daily makeup. The size is smaller than the other 2 bags that
were sent earlier. Those were best for toiletries. So one thumbs up for this
goody.
The eyeshadow palette by Beauty UK in Soho is absolutely
adorable looking palatte. There are 10 lovely colors in it. Ranging from
yellow, orange, green, blue to purple and pink. I haven’t tested them yet. But
I am hoping they perform equally well. It’s awesome size too. Just about 6
inches. Very compact that can be carried around anywhere.
It’s an absolutely no brainer lip gloss from Lord & Berry . You can keep it in
your purse for the lip touch ups. It’s sheer with a light golden pink hue to
it. I haven’t used it yet, just swatched it. Can’t comment on its performance
yet.
Lavender Body Lotion, what the hell is TNC (The Nature's Co) doing in a luxury
beauty bag?? It’s a desi bath and beauty products company. Again I haven’t used
it. But not certainly not exciting. But I have one input to it as of now. It doesn't smell good. How wrong can one go with lavender fragrance. I don't think I will ever use it.
Compact mirror brush is good thought but certainly not 300 bucks as they
claim. I have seen such stuff before but I like the gesture of this bonus goody
My overall thought on the anniversary bag from Vellvette: I
can see the effort the team has put in to get its customers these lovely
goodies.
The customized bag, compact brush and the cute eyeshadow palette are a
clear winner this month. It was certainly worth the money.
Plus got a few invitation for friends and some discount vouchers.
What was in your Vellvette bag this time ? Did you like it?
